A subclass 500 visa is sometimes known as a student visa. This is a visa that allows international students to continue their education in Australia. Depending on the length of the course, this is frequently extended to 5 years. If you are on a temporary visa, you can always ask for a visa extension if you are unable to complete your course during your visa time. You will be eligible for a temporary graduate visa (subclass 485 visa) and other visas once you have completed your education.

Student Visa Processing Time:

It takes roughly 3-5 months to process a student visa application once all of the required documents have been uploaded. (Time is approximate.)

Student visa conditions:

8105 - the scope of employment

This stipulation means that you must refrain from engaging in any activity until your course of study begins. When you are in Australia for a study session, you are also not permitted to work more than 40 hours a fortnight.

Point to Note is that 40 hour requirement does not apply if you are Busy in the work that was Course requirements are specified when course details are submitted

Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Foreign Students and Students

The visa was granted for a research master's degree or a doctoral degree.

8202 - Comply with the requirements of the course

This requirement states that you must enrol in a full-time course and complete it satisfactorily.

Your entrance requirements, which include course level, progress, and completion, are listed below.

Attendance Unless you are a Defense, Foreign Affairs, or Secondary Exchange student, the course you are studying must be a Commonwealth Register-registered course.

Foreign student institutions and courses (CRICOS).

You must meet the Eligibility Framework requirements for the course you are taking, which must be at the same level or higher than the course listed in your grant letter.

8501 - Keep your health insurance current.

This condition necessitates that you keep suitable health insurance provisions in place.

(Usually overseas student health cover) when you are in Australia. You must not log in

Australia before your Overseas Student Health cover begins You must not enter Australia until your Overseas Student Health Insurance kicks in. After your Overseas Student Health Coverage expires, you are not permitted to remain in Australia. You may not need to keep an abroad student health insurance if you have students from Norway, Belgium, or Sweden.

8516 - Qualification must be kept up to date.

This condition means you must continue to demonstrate your competence as a person who fits the requirements for your visa.

8517 - Maintain education for dependents

This criterion means that you must make proper schooling arrangements for your school-aged dependents who will be staying in Australia for more than three months on a visa.

8532 - People under the age of 18 approve of welfare

This situation necessitates the provision of suitable lodging, aid, and general arrangements.

You are not allowed to change without those arrangements

Your education provider's approval is required. It has to be written form. You are not permitted to visit Australia prior to the date specified by your educational institution.

8533 - Inform the provider of the address

You must notify your education provider within seven days . Arrive at your residential address in Australia (if you were not in Australia at the time) . In all situations, you must notify them within seven days of the transfer of any changes to your Australian residence address.

If you plan to switch education providers, you must notify your previous education provider within seven days of obtaining the Electronic Confirmation of Provider Nomination (COE) or other proof of nomination.
